Why should you choose Organic Skincare?
Sometimes an organic version of an ingredient is not available or does not exist. Water and minerals such as salts, vitamins or extracts are good examples of this.
In addition, some ingredients cannot be called organic if a raw material is processed many times to extract a particular element of it. For example, sugar has a naturally occurring foaming agent. It is then processed to extract this specific foaming agent and this is made into a solution called decyl glucoside. We add this to our body wash, hand wash and bath soak to create a foam.
You can visit the Environmental Working Group (EWG) website in the USA for an independent analysis of all the ingredients we use in our skincare range. It is fantastic that we achieved the highest possible score for our products and as a company.
There are also a huge number of ingredients found in skincare products that we recommend you avoid. Just click here to read about these in more detail.
We design the Products for you
When we handcraft our skincare it is with one primary purpose – to be great for your skin. Our products are made to enrich and enhance different skin types and may also help with any ailments that your skin may have.
The primary purpose is not to make products with an extended shelf life.
We like to blend our organic skincare to nourish and replenish! Many products contain beneficial active and ‘live’ ingredients, just like food. Furthermore, our minimal use of preservatives means that products are not designed to sit on a shelf for endless months in a stale shop environment.
Made in a Soil Association Approved Food Grade Environment
Our skincare is handmade in a Soil Association Approved facility where high quality food producers also manufacture. We are only allowed to use this organic facility because only vegetable-based ingredients are contained in our range. To use this facility we also had to qualify for Food Hygiene certificates too!
Making products to food production standards enhances their quality and protects the benefits of the active ingredients.
All our organic skin care is approved by a Cosmetic Chemist to meet with current EC Directive Cosmetic Products (Safety) Regulations.
The Planet We All Share
We select recycled or recyclable materials such as glass, aluminium and paper for all our packaging requirements. ‘Going the extra mile’ means using items like biodegradable jiffy bags, acid-free tissue paper and unbleached paper packing tape (made without solvents). We also use corn starch packing fill that naturally composts!
Many companies like to pay lip service to some of these green and eco ‘buzzwords’, but at Conscious Skincare, we like to put them into practice!
Against Animal Testing
Our ingredients and our products have not been, and never will be tested on animals. We have a strict no animal testing approach which we verify in our supply chain. We only select suppliers who practice the same high, ethical standards that we do. Click here to read our full policy.
At Conscious Skincare we are passionate about making natural and organic skin care with a clean conscience.
